Notes from the Vineyard

Chicken Coop Built

Yep.  We are going to have chickens.  Only 6 of them.  But chickens none-the-less.  Fresh Eggs Anyone?

Starting on the Sangio

Wilridge Vineyard is getting the land ready to plant some Sangiovese.  The new block will be planted along side the current block of Nebbiolo and Syrah.

Spring is here - or is it?

The crabapple tree is in full bloom with it's bright pink flowers blazing in the sun, but the cold weather that is forcast makes me worry that we are not yet ready to start planting our garden.

Digging a New Well

After months of living off cistern water, Wilridge Vineyard has begun the process of digging a new well.  Hopefully the digging won't have to go too far down seeing as we are in the Naches Heights area of Yakima. Keep your finger's crossed.

New Releases

If you haven't had enough of my fantastic wines, I've got two more for you to enjoy : a dry fermented Chenin Blanc and a Pinot Noir.  Yes, that's right, a Pinot Noir.

French techniques in Yakima?

Biodynamic guru Phillipe traveled from California to help vineyard manager Phil Cline understand biodynamic growing techniques and how to apply them to our Naches Heights area.

Interview with Paul Beveridge

Wilridge winemaker Paul Beveridge was interviewed about his new vineyard and the newest location of Wines of Washington The Tasting Room Yakima on September 10, 2007.
